“Today’s Executive Order builds on the first Executive Order that I signed last month to safeguard access to health care — including abortion care — that was ripped away,” Biden tweeted. “I told you I wouldn’t back down. That hasn’t changed.”

The president signed it during the first meeting of the administration’s new task force on reproductive health care access.
The order will support patients traveling out of state for abortion care or other medical care, ensure health care providers comply with federal non-discrimination law, and promote research and data collection on maternal health outcomes.
