Philadelphia School District Postpones Plans To Push Back School Start Times

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Philadelphia School District is pressing the snooze button on plans to start school later. The district announced Wednesday it will not change any start times for high schools for the next school year.

The district initially said in March that older students would start school at 9 a.m.

But that's been postponed due to staffing challenges and to give students stability.

The district hopes to make the change for the 2023-2024 school year.
