Chestnut Street Bridge Will Reopen Saturday Night After 2 Years Of Construction
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A Center City bridge will finally reopen this weekend after two years of construction. The Chestnut Street Bridge over the Schuylkill River will open back up to cars, pedestrians, and cyclists Saturday night.
PennDOT says work was done to re-deck the eastbound connection between University City and Center City.
Crews also repaired and repainted the bridge's steel superstructure.
