Vineland Public Schools Will Reopen Friday After Potential Threat On Tik Tok Caused Closure

VINELAND, N.J. (CBS) -- Vineland Public Schools will reopen Friday after they were closed Thursday for a potential threat. Vineland Schools said a social media threat talked about a possible school shooting.

Vineland police investigated. The threat turned out to be a generic post that is being copied and re-distributed. The school told CBS3 the threat was specifically related to Tik Tok.

The district asked parents to discuss appropriate use of social media with students.
