Eagles' Ryan Kerrigan Bags Groceries At South Philly ShopRite To Fight Hunger
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Eyewitness News was at ShopRite in Whitman Plaza where Eagles' defensive end Ryan Kerrigan was bagging groceries to fight hunger in South Philadelphia. It's part of an effort to bag hunger for National Hunger Action Month.
One out of every nine Pennsylvanians is suffering from food insecurity.
Food and proceeds from Monday night's event will benefit local food banks.
