Pennsylvania Lifts Universal Mask Order

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Pennsylvania's order requiring face coverings has officially ended. The mandate expired at midnight Monday.

The state health department says businesses, health care providers, and other organizations can still require face coverings if they choose to.

Those who haven't been fully vaccinated are strongly encouraged to wear a mask in public, but will not be required to.

Philadelphia lifted its mask mandate earlier this month.
