Atlantic County Utilities Authority Say Sewer Pipe Repaired After Rupture Caused Wastewater Leak

ATLANTIC COUNTY, N.J. (CBS) -- The Atlantic County Utilities Authority says that a bypass line was successfully activated after a sewer pipe ruptured in Ventnor earlier this week. Wastewater is now able to get around the damaged pipe near Wellington Avenue.

The leak caused road closures and delayed trash collection.

Officials say they will continue to take samples to test the water quality in the bay.

Completion of the street repairs could take up to four weeks.
