Philadelphia Holding Two Gun Buybacks Saturday In Response To Violence Across City
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- In response to the violence across the city there are two gun buyback events being held today to get firearms off the streets. The buyback events are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and Mt. Airy Church of God.
The events are part of a year-long "2021 No Gun Campaign" focused on getting illegal guns out of homes and off Philadelphia city streets.
During last month's buyback event, 224 guns were turned in.
