WATCH LIVE: Philadelphia City Leaders Calling For Action On Gun Safety Following Last Week's Mass Shooting

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney, Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw, District Attorney Larry Krasner, and state Sen. Sharif Street will join with city and state officials and anti-violence advocates to discuss last week's shooting at Broad and Olney. They are calling for legislative and executive action to stop gun violence in Pennsylvania.

They are asking for bills that would require reporting of lost or stolen firearms, restriction of the sale of military-grade weapons to keep guns away from abusers and stalkers.

They say "Philadelphia is among cities across the country that are grappling with increases in gun violence, too often enabled by cheap, unrestricted availability of firearms to individuals who demonstrate an inability to possess firearms responsibly."
