DENNIS TOWNSHIP, N.J. (CBS) — A $5,000 reward is being offered for information on the vandalism of a memorial to a fallen New Jersey state trooper. Police discovered Wednesday that the monument to Trooper Bertram Zimmerman had been defaced with white caulk.

The memorial is located on State Highway 83 in Dennis Township, Cape May County.

Zimmerman died in an on-duty motor vehicle crash in 2004.
