PennDOT Resumes Issuing Real IDs

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- PennDOT announced Wednesday that it has resumed issuing Real IDs. Starting in October 2021, you must use a Real ID, not a driver's license, to board a commercial flight.

The date was pushed back by a year because of the pandemic and closing of driver's license centers.

You can get a Real ID at a PennDOT center by showing proof of identification. It costs $31.50.
