BEAR, Del. (CBS) – Delaware State Police are investigating a deadly pedestrian crash in Newark, Delaware. It happened just after 11 p.m. Wednesday on the westbound lanes of Route 273 and Apply Road.

Police say the 36-year-old male pedestrian died at the scene.

The driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

The road was closed for about two hours and has since reopened.
