Battleship New Jersey To Temporarily Stop Public Tours After Labor Day Due To Pandemic
CAMDEN, N.J. (CBS) - The Battleship New Jersey is being forced to close as the pandemic continues to devastate the tourism industry. Revenue is significantly down so the board of trustees made the difficult decision to temporarily end public tours right after Labor Day.
The cost to maintain the ship along the Camden Waterfront is about $10,000 per day.
The Big J, though, will remain open through Sept. 7.
