Philadelphia Police Investigating After 4 Women Shot, 1 Stabbed Multiple Times In Kensington

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police are investigating after four women were shot and one was stabbed multiple times during the overnight hours Sunday in Kensington. Officials observed large puddles of blood, multiple cases and a woman suffering from a gunshot wound on the 3100 block of Weymouth Street just before 3:30 a.m.

Officials say a 23-year-old woman suffering a gunshot wound to the right shoulder was transported to Temple University Hospital.

Three other women, ages 21, 24, and 28, were reportedly found suffering gunshot wounds to the leg inside a home on the street. They were transported to Temple University Hospital.

A fifth victim, a 25-year-old woman, being treated at Jeanes Hospital for multiple stab wounds told police she was injured during the incident on the 3100 block of Weymouth Street.

An investigation is ongoing.

No arrests have been made at this time.
