Delaware Law Enforcement Memorial Vandalized In Dover

DOVER, Del. (CBS) -- The search is on for the vandal who damaged a law enforcement memorial in Dover. Someone called police early Friday morning to report that they saw a person hitting the memorial with a sledgehammer.

The neck of the statue was broken and an ax was left behind at the scene.

Dover police do not think the suspect is connected to a group of demonstrators who have been protesting lately.
