Woodlynne Police Officer Charged For Unjustified Use Of Pepper Spray On Juvenile, Officials Say
WOODLYNNE, N.J. (CBS) -- A Woodlynne police officer is facing charges for the unjustified use of pepper spray on a juvenile. The incident was captured on the officer's body camera.
It happened June 4 while the juvenile was sitting on a front porch.
The officer, 31-year-old Ryan Dubiel, was charged with two counts of simple assault.
Officials say the officer's actions were not consistent with the state's use of force policy.
