Thief Caught On Camera Stealing Donation Jar From Philadelphia Brewing Company

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A heartless crime was caught on camera in Kensington when a thief swiped a donation jar from Philadelphia Brewing Company. You can see the man lurking by the counter then he suddenly grabs the jar of cash and walks away.

Dear thief, We get it, it's tough out there right now. Most of our staff have been furloughed — which was one of the toughest business decisions we've ever had to make, our restaurant and bar friends are struggling, our events are all cancelled or postponed, and for some, navigating the unemployment system is enough to cause a breakdown without the added pressure of a global pandemic. But here's the deal, you didn't steal from us when you nabbed that donation jar. You stole from Philly's abandoned and homeless pets at Pennsylvania SPCA — who are also struggling during this weird time — so, we're kinda p*ssed. Watching the jar grow with the kind donations from our loyal patrons has been a true joy during this trying time and we hope you will consider returning anything you don't need in exchange for a Kenzinger, on us. Dear neighbors and not thief, please be on the lookout for this gentleman as he's been spotted in the neighborhood and we'd hate for him to be stealing from other businesses in the area, too.

The money was supposed to be given to the Pennsylvania SPCA.

The brewery has offered the man a beer exchange for returning the money.
