Philadelphia Police Department Posthumously Promotes Slain Officer James O'Connor
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Philadelphia Police Department has posthumously promoted slain officer James O'Connor from corporal to sergeant. O'Connor was shot and killed while serving an arrest warrant last Friday in Frankford.
O'Connor's alleged killer, Hassan Elliott was arrested and charged Tuesday.
Investigators say Elliott shot and killed O'Connor as the SWAT team tried to serve a warrant to home on Bridge Street last week.
