Avenue Of The Roots: Well-Known Street In Philadelphia Renamed After Band
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- There is a new name for a well-known street in Philadephia. CBS3 was at the intersection of Passyunk Avenue and South Street, which has a new sign: Avenue of the Roots.
It's to honor the Philly band.
Councilmember Mark Squilla introduced the resolution to rename the street and while the sign is already up, it hasn't been voted for or passed yet by City Council.
That vote is expected next week.
