SEPTA Adds Tap-To-Exit Program At Suburban Station

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Some SEPTA passengers will need their Key Card to leave parts of Suburban Station. Beginning on Wednesday, Regional Rail riders have to tap or swipe their Key Card to exit some of the station's turnstiles.

SEPTA made the change to be sure passengers pay the correct fare.

On Jan. 13, SEPTA made the change at its Jefferson Station.

SEPTA plans to add the technology to every regional rail station by April.
