OCEAN COUNTY, N.J. (CBS) -- When the holiday season ends, don't just throw your Christmas tree away -- it could help beaches in Ocean County, New Jersey. Island Beach will accept trees on Saturday, Jan. 4.

The threes will be used to help build up the dunes.

You can drop off your trees at the A-23 parking lot between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Jan. 4.

Officials ask you to remove all of the decorations first.
