Armed Suspect Tased During Foot Chase In Spring Garden, Police Say
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A suspect is in the hospital after he was tased by police in the Spring Garden section of Philadelphia. Authorities say it happened along the 1200 block of Mount Vernon Street about 2:30 a.m. Thursday.
Officers were chasing the man on foot.
They say he threw away a weapon during the foot chase and officers fired their tasers.
It's not clear what prompted the original chase.
