Deadly Rittenhouse Square Stabbing Trial Set To Begin Monday
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- An emotionally-charged trial is set to get underway Monday in Philadelphia court. Michael White is accused of fatally stabbing Sean Schellenger last year in Rittenhouse Square.
On Friday, Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner filed a motion to drop the murder charge against White.
A manslaughter charge remains.
White claimed self-defense and said Schellenger charged at him.
A judge still has to sign off on the motion.
