Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Car In Washington Township
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (CBS) - A pedestrian has died after getting hit by a car overnight in Washington Township, Gloucester County. It happened just before midnight Sunday at Ganttown Road and Route 42.
Investigators say the pedestrian was trying to cross Route 42 when they were struck by a Chevrolet Cruze in the southbound lanes.
The victim was taken to Jefferson University Hospital where they were pronounced dead.
Officials say the driver stayed at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
