1 Dead Following Crash In Holme Circle

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia Police are investigating a car accident that left a driver dead in Northeast Philadelphia. According to police, a car ran into a tree just after 3:30 a.m. Saturday on the 2900 block of Holme Avenue.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

A preliminary investigation found that the driver was traveling west on Holme Avenue and lost control of the vehicle before crashing into a tree.

Part of the road was shut down as a result of the crash.
