Hundreds Of Students Receive Backpack, School Supplies In Northeast Philly Backpack Giveaway
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Hundreds of kids in Northeast Philadelphia are going back to school with new swag. State Rep. Jared Solomon and Gary Barbera held a backpack giveaway at Solomon Solis-Cohen Elementary School, Thursday morning.
More than 400 kids received backpacks along with pens, pencils, erasers and highlighters.
