Chestnut Street Bridge To Close Monday For Year-Long Renovation Project
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A heads up for commuters. The Chestnut Street Bridge will be closing on Monday for a year-long renovation project.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will close the bridge that connects University City to Center City some time after 8 p.m. on Monday.
The construction is scheduled for one year.
Crews will rehab the bridge and also widen Chestnut Street to include bike lanes and more lighting.
