Six Flags Great Adventure Adds Nearly 60,000 Solar Panels

JACKSON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (CBS) - Six Flags Great Adventure is taking a giant leap at reducing its carbon footprint. The world's ultimate thrill park is now almost fully-powered by solar energy.

Park officials announced the completion of the project on Wednesday morning.

With nearly 60,000 solar panels installed, the Jackson, New Jersey park is now one of the world's first solar-powered theme parks.
