Gritty Wins Webby Award
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - There's no surprise here -- Gritty is an award winner! The Philadelphia Flyers' mascot is now the proud owner of a "Webby" award.
Gritty dressed in a suit for the 23rd annual ceremony in New York on Monday night.
Gritty poked fun at the Philly accent with a sign reading, "It pronounced wooder, not water."
He deservedly won the "People's Voice Award" for athletes and sports teams.
