PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — It was a fiery scene in Philadelphia Thursday night after a transformer exploded. Firefighters were called in to battle the flames at 34th and Spruce Streets in University City.

The fire department says a transformer gave out and a nearby pile of railroad ties ignited.

Fortunately, no one was injured.

The fire did slow down SEPTA service in the area but it’s moving again now.

Power in the area was not affected.
