More Than 5 Million Children In United States Have Allergies, Study Finds

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A study finds more than five million children in the United States react to certain foods.

The research published in the journal "Pediatrics" also reveals more children are being rushed to the emergency room with sometimes life-threatening reactions.

Peanuts, milk, shellfish, egg, wheat, soy and sesame are among the most common food allergens.
