PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — The Washington Post says annoying robocalls are at epidemic levels.

A spam-call blocking service in New York says it headed off more than 850,000 health-related robocalls in October.

That’s nearly five times the number in September.

Regulators say some of these illegal calls are fraudulent, and many offer skimpy health plans that do not cover what you might need.
