Police: Teen Triggered Crash That Sent Truck Into Glory's Market
JACKSON, N.J. (CBS) -- Jackson police say a 17-year-old triggered the crash that sent a truck into Glory's Market on Thursday afternoon.
It happened at Cedar Swamp Road and Commodore Boulevard.
Investigators say the teenager, driving a Nissan Altima, turned in front of the truck at the intersection.
The two vehicles collided and caused the truck to lose control and plow into the store.
Rescue teams pulled a trapped worker from the debris.
The teenager and the truck driver were not seriously injured.
"A 69-year-old male patron of the store was airlifted to a local trauma center for treatment and a 61-year-old female store clerk was transported to a trauma center for treatment," police said in a news release.
Police say it does not appear alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.
