Villanova University sent out a safety advisory to students, faculty and staff following the stabbing.

“Both the Radnor and Lower Merion Police Departments have increased patrols in the area. Those living or traveling in the area late at night should exercise caution – walk in groups, stay in well-lit areas and be attentive to your surroundings,” the university said.

“I wouldn’t expect a fight to happen at Kelly’s at all. Especially when that leads to a stabbing that’s pretty unlikely from my experience inside Kelly’s,” said Francisco Ondina, a student at Villanova.

“You obviously get worried about it. Kelly’s is a place that we’ve been almost every other weekend. And it’s worrisome,” another student said.

Anyone with any information is asked to call police at 610-688-0500. A $10,000 reward is being offered.
