PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Would signing LeBron James complete the process?

Sixers' management went to Los Angeles and started their courtship of "The King" Sunday.

After the NBA Draft, Brett Brown said the Sixers are star hunting, and there is no bigger star in basketball than LeBron James.

How The Sixers Complete The Process Without LeBron James

Sixers' owners Josh Harris and David Blitzer, along with head coach Brett Brown are in Los Angeles to meet with LeBron's representatives.

LeBron is not attending the meeting. The Sixers can offer him a 4-year contract worth $38.25 million a year.

Reports say he's impressed with the Sixers and would like to play with Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid.

He also likes Brett Brown and the new practice facility. Plus, LeBron and Simmons are friends, work out together in the offseason, and have the same agent.

The Sixers are also trying to trade for San Antonio Spurs guard, Kawhi Leonard.

So if they get Leonard, it would be yet another reason LeBron might come to the City of Brotherly Love.

The Sixers lost a couple of players in free agency, Ersan Ilyasova is headed to the Milwaukee Bucks and Marco Belinelli is joining the Spurs.

So The Sixers will need a couple of shooters to help LeBron.
