PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — A tribute was held Wednesday in North Philadelphia for former heavyweight boxing champion “Smokin” Joe Frazier.

Glenwood Avenue was renamed “Smokin’ Joe Frazier Boulevard.”

The celebration was held at Broad Street and Glenwood Avenue.

Frazier won an Olympic gold medal in 964, and was heavyweight champion from 1970 to 1973.

Frazier died in Philadelphia in 2011.
