Price Of Tomatoes Going Up Due To Nationwide Shortage

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The cost of tomatoes is going up thanks in part to Hurricane Irma.

The storm impacted Florida’s crop and now there’s a shortage nationwide.

Agriculture experts say a shipment from Mexico will arrive later this month, helping to lower the cost.

Until then, some restaurants in the Sunshine State say they will temporarily stop serving tomatoes.
