New Jersey Town Rings In 2018 With 'Blueberry Drop'
HAMMONTON, NJ (CBS) -- Hammonton, New Jersey, long known as the "Blueberry Capital of the World," will be ringing in 2018 with a new event.
The "Blueberry Drop" will take place as part of the inaugural Hammonton New Year's Eve bash.
The blueberry is more than 10 feet in diameter, and is almost as large as the famous ball dropped in New York City's Times Square.
The Blueberry Drop will take place right in front of town hall -- which will be open to guests as a warming station.
