Americans Expected To Spend Nearly $3 Billion On Halloween Candy

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Halloween is fast approaching and this year and Americans are expected to drop a lot of cash on candy.

TV News Report Leads Man To Old Shirt, $24 Million Jackpot

This year, according to the annual survey released recently by the National Retail Federation and Prosper Insights & Analytics, researchers say about $2.7 billion will be spent on candy this year.

Candystore.com has also announced the favorite candy by state.

In Pennsylvania, M&M's earned top spot. In New Jersey, it's Skittles, and Delaware loves lifesavers.
