BEAR, Del. (CBS) — A tractor-trailer overturned on Route 1 in Bear, Delaware causing the roadway to be temporarily shut down Saturday morning.

The big rig was carrying a crane near Route 273 when it rolled over in the southbound lanes and hit the guardrail, just after 7:30 a.m.

Investigators say the truck’s tire blew out causing it to crash.

The driver was trapped for over an hour while crews worked to free him.

He was treated for chest injuries.

No one else was injured.
