PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Police are investigating the shooting death of a 17-year-old boy in Philadelphia’s Cobbs Creek section.

Officers found the victim on a front stoop on the 5900 block of Larchwood Avenue suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his chest.

They quickly rushed him to Penn Presbyterian Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities identified the victim as Tyshiem Chainey.

So far, no word on a motive or suspect.

The investigation is ongoing by homicide detectives.
