Temple Edges NJIT 68-63

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Obi Enechionyia scored 13 points and grabbed eight rebounds as Temple edged NJIT 68-63 on Saturday.

Enechionyia was 5 of 11 from the field for the Owls (8-4). Daniel Dingle added 11 points including three 3-pointers and Shizz Alston Jr. had 10 points including a layup that put Temple up for good with under a minute to play.

NJIT took a 41-37 lead on a Damon Lynn 3-pointer early in the second period after trailing Temple 31-30 at the break. The Owls answered with a 16-4 surge with the help of 3-pointers by Enechionyia and Alani Moore II to go back on top 53-45 with 7:00 to play. NJIT tied it up at 63 with 56 seconds left but didn't score after that, allowing Temple to finish with a layup and two free throws by Alston and a foul shot by Moore.

Lynn led the Highlanders (5-8) with 25 points, including seven 3s.
