PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Police have made an arrest following the anti-Trump graffiti found on a grocery store in Chestnut Hill last month.
Authorities say 33-year-old Evan Brown, of Brooklyn, NY is one of two men caught on surveillance video approaching the Fresh Market store on Germantown Avenue on Nov. 25 just after midnight. Last month officials identified the other suspect as Duncan Lloyd, an assistant city solicitor, who was cooperating with police.
Security footage shows one of the suspects spray painting the building. The other suspect appears to then take a picture or video of the anti-Trump message left behind. Police say both suspects then fled the area on foot.
Officials estimate the vandalism to be $3,000-$10,000 due to the composition of the property’s stone.
Brown was taken into custody on Sunday on West Southampton Street without incident. He has been charged with Criminal Mischief and related offenses.
