FOP Thief Faces Second Set Of Charges

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A second set of theft charges is leveled against a former head of a Somerton community organizer.

31-year-old Seth Kaplan is charged with stealing $1,500 from the Fraternal Order of Police.

The money was supposed to be used to buy American flags to place along the streets of Somerton.

It's the second round of charges against Kaplan, Philadelphia police originally charged him in October for stealing $19,000 from the Somerton Civic Association.

Police say Kaplan may have made restitution for that crime.

The Philadelphia District Attorney's office says Kaplan faces a court date on January 6th in connection with the charges
