Here's When You Can Register For 2017 Broad Street Run Lottery
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Get ready... get set... The lottery for the 2017 Blue Cross Broad Street Run will officially open at 12:01 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 1 online at broadstreetrun.com.
The lottery will be open until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 13.
People who wish to register for the drawing will be asked to complete an entry form as if they were registering for the actual race, including credit card information. According to organizers, cards won't be charged unless the entry is accepted.
Organizers explain there is no advantage to entering earlier in the lottery period -- all entrants have an equal chance and only one entry per person or group will be accepted.
After the lottery closes, lottery participants will be able to search for their name alphabetically on the BSR site to see if they were selected.
Race day is Sunday, May 7.
