Bargains Abound For Black Friday Shoppers

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It's become trendy for stores to stay closed for the entire Thanksgiving holiday. Still, plenty will be opening to satisfy shoppers getting an early start on Black Friday. So, what are the top deals?

TV bargains abound this time of year. Save $100 on a TCL 32-incher with Roku built-in: it's $125 at Walmart.

"There are at least six stores that have 50" to 55" 4K TVs for under $300," said Brent Shelton with FatWallet.com.

Including a Best Buy doorbuster: a 4K Toshiba for $200 with Chromecast included.

Looking for a video game console with games? Shelton says you'd do well to check out Kohl's.

"They're offering $75 Kohl's cash," he said. "So if you're a Kohl's fan, you're essentially going to get that video game bundle for under $200. That's phenomenal."

Apple is getting in on the Black Friday action for the first time, though your best bet may still be going to a store that offers incentives alongside a discount.

"Target and Walmart are probably the leaders in offering gift cards with your purchases," Shelton said. "One thing Best Buy does is they'll just take the loss. They're offering Macbooks for $150 off, Macbook Air for $200 off."

Target has the first-generation Apple Watch for about $70 off. A $125 discount there and Best Buy brings the iPad Air 2 down to $275.

Shelton says those who prefer a PC should check there for the HP Spectre laptop -- the top-of-the-line model is $1000, or $400 off.

Got a Fitbit, want a treadmill or an elliptical?

"Dick's Sporting Goods is one," Shelton said. "Sears is another that are offering these for half-price."

Amazon has its personal assistant and streaming player Echo for $40 off.

There are drones aplenty at all price points; perhaps the best deal is at Walmart with the DJI Phantom 3 quadcopters with camera. Its price has dropped $130.
