UPenn Students Stage Walkout Over Racist Text Messages

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- University of Pennsylvania students staged a walkout Thursday morning after a series of racist text messages were sent to black freshmen last week.

The text messages referenced lynching and included racial slurs. They managed to find their way to black freshmen students at Penn using the app GroupMe.

A University of Oklahoma students accused of sending those messages has been expelled.
