Long-Time Kleinlife Library Volunteer Celebrates Two Life Milestones

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A long-time friend of the Kleinlife Library in Northeast, Philadelphia celebrated two milestones on Thursday.

West Philadelphia native Edith Kutcher has been the volunteer librarian for the KleinLife Center here in the Northeast for 40 years.

Besides marking that achievement, Kutcher celebrated her 100th birthday here Thursday with her extended family and KleinLife friends.

"I just love being here, I love books and that's most of my life," Kutcher said. In addition to a love of books, she also writes.

Her favorite is poetry, when does the muse strike her?

"The middle of the night's, the best time!"

Kutcher said her secret to a long life is not dwelling on your own problems.

"All the think about is health – I can't move my leg or I can't move my arm – you got to stop worrying and think about people."
