Guadagno Says She'll Decide On Run Soon

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (AP) — New Jersey's lieutenant governor says she will decide after the holidays whether to run to replace fellow Republican Gov. Chris Christie next year.

Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno told reporters she will take Thanksgiving and Christmas to think over the decision of whether to run.

Guadagno was scheduled to speak at the League of Municipalities conference in Atlantic City Thursday, but Christie at the last minute decided to bump her and give the talk.

Christie is term-limited. Republican state Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli has launched a campaign, as have Democrats Phil Murphy and Assemblyman John Wisniewski.

Guadagno says she has been asked by some people to run, but she hasn't made a decision.
