Police: Upper Chi Man In Possession Of 39 Images, 11 videos Of Child Porn
PHILADELPHIA (CBS)—An Upper Chichester man is facing charges after authorities say he was in possession of child porn.
On June 7, 2016, authorities raided the home of 42-year-old Walter Timothy Irwin where they found 39 images and 11 videos of child pornography. Investigators say one image depicted a female approximately 5-8 years of age preforming oral sex on an adult male.
Authorities say Irwin admitted to possessing child pornography on his computer at several points in time but told detectives that he removed the file sharing program from his computer.
He is charged with possession and dissemination of child pornography and the sexual abuse of child, felonies of the second degree, and criminal use of a communications facility, a felony of the third degree.
Irwin was released on $150,000 unsecured bail set by District Judge Diane Holefelder who placed him on electronic home monitoring with GPS.
He was ordered to surrender his passport, have no internet access, no contact with minors and to complete a psychological and sexual evaluation.
His preliminary hearing is scheduled for November 23, 2016.
